Golf does not end at the eighteenth green. It follows us into the places we travel, the clothes we wear, the objects we keep and the rooms we return to. The Links Edit is a journal about that wider life of the game.
A scorecard records one kind of experience. It leaves out the walk to the first tee, the shape of a coastline, the sound of a clubhouse door and the conversation that lasts longer than the round. Those details deserve attention of their own.
A way of looking
Our starting point is curiosity rather than instruction. What makes a place worth remembering? When does a useful object become a favourite? Why can a modest room feel more welcoming than an impressive one? Golf offers a particular lens through which to consider these everyday questions.
That lens should stay wide. Design, travel, clothing, architecture, books and film all belong in the conversation. The game becomes more interesting when we look beyond its boundaries.
Inside the Journal
Places considers the landscape and the journey, as well as the course. Style looks at clothing through usefulness, character and the pleasure of wearing it. Objects is for things that earn their place through repeated use.
Home follows the game indoors, into art, rooms and the rituals around them. Culture makes space for ideas, images and traditions. The Links List gathers considered selections with a clear reason for each inclusion.
Short News Notes will sit alongside longer stories when there is something timely worth sharing. A publication should give you a reason to return without asking you to keep up with everything.
Read, watch, keep
The Journal is the centre of The Links Edit. Our landscape films offer another pace: a view to spend time with. The Terrain Edit brings our existing golf landscape artwork into print.
Those are different ways to enjoy the same sensibility. You can read without shopping, watch without a destination in mind, or find an image you want to live with. The invitation begins with paying attention.
Welcome to The Links Edit.
